02/17 - energy star requirements to change

The Energy Star performance standards for windows and
doors will become more stringent this year. The current
U-value of 35 of lower to comply will be changed to 30
or lower to comply. Last years tax credit program for
windows and doors required a U-value of 30 or lower
to qualify. This is an attempt to align Energy Star
qualified products with the tax credit guidelines.
